Eddie Betts

Introducing our newest recruit who needs no introduction, Eddie Betts.

Eddie was originally drafted by Carlton with pick No. 3 in the 2004 Pre-Season Draft, he moved to Adelaide as a free agent at the end of 2013 and back to Carlton at the conclusion of the 2019 season. He finished his stellar career at the end of the 2021 season having played a total of 350 games and kicked 640 goals.

Quote from the Coach:

‘The club is very excited and honoured to have Eddie and his family choose to be involved with our club this season. We are very fortunate to have someone of his calibre on board, mentoring and developing our juniors and as Assistant Coach of our senior group. We fully support his initiatives in engaging and working with Indigenous communities and people throughout the Northern Territory.’

We welcome Eddie, his wife Anna and their 5 children (three boys and twin daughters) to the Palmerston Magpies Football Club for 2021/22 season.
